A Gumroad alternative built for Stripe

Gumroad
New sellers generally cannot connect their own Stripe account to Gumroad, except in Brazil. Some existing sellers still have a connected account; Gumroad’s help documents that exception.
SendOwl
Connect your own Stripe or PayPal account as a payment gateway. SendOwl also offers a Stripe App that links Stripe Checkout products to SendOwl-hosted files and delivery.

Standard fees
DeliveryKit
Starter is $29/month plus 3% per sale; Pro is $59/month plus 2%. Stripe processing is extra. There is a 30-day trial.
Gumroad
No monthly fee. Gumroad lists 10% + $0.50 on direct sales, with card processing separate, and 30% on Discover sales, including processing. It also lists a high-volume direct-sales discount after $20,000 of paid sales in a calendar month.
SendOwl
Launch is $39/month with no SendOwl per-sale commission. Payment-gateway fees are separate. Launch lists up to $10,000 in sales and 5,000 orders over a trailing 12 months; higher usage can require a higher plan, and bandwidth overages can add cost.

DeliveryKit
Turn your Stripe products into hosted download pages or shareable checkout links. After each purchase, DeliveryKit automatically emails buyers a link to a branded download page they can revisit. You bring the audience; DeliveryKit handles the handoff.
Gumroad
Sell through Gumroad pages and checkout. It delivers files and offers a marketplace where buyers may discover your work; Discover sales have a separate fee.
SendOwl
Use SendOwl pages, payment links, embedded checkout, or its Stripe App. It also offers courses, subscriptions, license keys, upsells, and affiliate tools.

PDF stamping
DeliveryKit
Add the buyer’s email and order reference to every PDF page. Choose a subtle footer or diagonal stamp to discourage casual sharing; it is not DRM.
Gumroad
Gumroad also offers optional PDF stamping. Its help says the buyer’s email address and Gumroad logo appear on the first page, and describes stamping as a deterrent rather than DRM.
SendOwl
SendOwl offers customizable buyer-specific stamps on each page of a SendOwl-hosted PDF.

Sales-tax setup
DeliveryKit
You choose how to configure tax in your own Stripe account. You remain responsible for determining, collecting, and remitting applicable taxes.
Gumroad
Gumroad says it handles sales-tax collection and remittance for sales on its platform. This is a meaningful convenience if you sell internationally.
SendOwl
SendOwl provides tax rules and reports, but says the merchant must determine what to collect and file the applicable returns.

If you are switching from Gumroad
Create or select a one-time product price in Stripe, attach your files in DeliveryKit, then replace your Gumroad buy link. Test checkout and delivery before sharing it. Past Gumroad purchases do not transfer automatically.
